Community Health Centers Receive Funds to Expand Services

Thanks to a federal grant, mental health and substance abuse disorder services will expand at eight community health centers across the state, including two in Northeast Wisconsin.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced nearly $4.7 million will go to help community centers integrate mental health and substance use disorder treatment into primary care.

This includes $600,000 in funding for N.E.W. Community Clinic in Green Bay and $600,000 for Partnership Community Health Care in Appleton.

Access Community Health Centers in Madison, Community Health Systems Inc. in Beloit, Lakeshore Community Health Care in Sheboygan, Bridge Community Clinic in Wausau, Progressive Community Health Centers in Milwaukee, and Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers in Cashton also received funds.
