Progressive Community Health Centers Featured in National Center for Equitable Care for Elders Newsletter
Health centers’ focus on whole-person care improves health outcomes in every age group and allows older adults to age-in-community and remain a vital part of their cities and towns. As the number of older adults in the U.S. grows, health centers must focus on age-friendly care to meet the needs of their patients in later life. We connected with Brintha Vasagar, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer at Progressive Community Health Centers (PCHC), to learn more about their mission and caring for their older adult patients.
“At Progressive Community Health Centers, we are deeply committed to providing high-quality, compassionate health care to individuals and families of all ages—regardless of their ability to pay. For the past 26 years, we’ve proudly served the Northwest side of Milwaukee, building trusted relationships with our community. Today, one in four of our patients is over the age of 50, and we remain dedicated to meeting their evolving health needs with dignity, respect, and excellence,” said Dr. Vasagar.
