Muslim Community and Health Center

The Muslim Community and Health Center of Wisconsin enriches lives by providing inclusive, community-based health care and social services. Guided by compassion, dignity, empathy, and unity, we deliver high-quality, culturally sensitive care that promotes wellness and belonging for all.

After seeing the growing need, in the Milwaukee Muslim Community, and beyond, for accessible health and social services, Fozia Ahmad, MCHC’s current board president founded the Community Help Program (CHP) in 2004. In 2008, CHP began services in two rooms allotted by the adjacent Salam Elementary School. CHP offered free essential health services 1 day a week for a total of 4 hours with a complete volunteer staff and providers. In 2012, CHP was renamed MCHC – Muslim Community &Health Center of Wisconsin, inc. 20 years later, what began as two rooms in an elementary school has now dramatically evolved into a multi-specialty federally qualified healthcare center look-alike (FQHC-LAL),serving thousands of patients annually.
