NorthLakes Community Clinic’s Dental Outreach Program partnered with Turtle Lake School District

NorthLakes Community Clinic partnered with the Turtle Lake School District. NorthLakes Clinic staff treated students to the last round of fluoride this morning!

The NorthLakes Dental Outreach Program is a “School based oral health program to help prevent cavities and keep kids healthy.” They serve students PK-12th grade with dental care (fluoride treatments and sealants), three times/year. Parents can register children for services at the beginning of the year.

WPHCA Hosted a Successful In-Person Behavioral Health Leaders Meeting in Madison

Community Health Center Behavioral Health Leaders from across the state met in Madison to discussed how Community Health Centers can optimize new reimbursement options and care delivery models to support critical care management supports for patients with behavioral health needs. Access Community Health Centers and the Collaborative Family Health Care Association (CFHA) joined the panel to discuss learnings from implementing the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) & General BHI Model.

Earlier this year, Access’ Julie Nielsen-Witkovsky, MD, and Chief Behavioral Health Officer Elizabeth Zeidler Schreiter, PsyD, presented on Access’ integrated model of behavioral health care at the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association annual conference in Milwaukee.

WPHCA hosted a successful Teamwork Series event last week

This year’s Teamwork Series focused on Financial Sustainability. Health Centers identified and advanced possible solutions related to financial sustainability. Panelists included Bill Hanna, Director of Medicaid Services for WI DHS; Aaron Todd, CEO of Iowa PCA; and Dr. Kyu Phee, President and CEO of NACHC. Thank you to all Community Health Center participants, board members, and panelists who helped make this event a success!
