National Survey Highlights Resilience Among Community Health Centers

A new survey from the Commonwealth Fund documents the challenges Community Health Centers face as they continue to provide high quality care to a record 32.5 million people. The survey of 737 heath center leaders described persistent workforce shortages, lack of financial resources, and Medicaid redeterminations. NEW Community Clinic Delivers Health on Wheels

NEW Community Clinic is helping the homeless and people without adequate insurance get access to critical health care services. And they’re bringing the health care to them, with a new mobile unit.

”We find when we look at people who are unable to come to their appointments, it’s usually because of transportation, so by having our mobile clinic we’re able to go out and meet people where they’re at and bring the services to them,” NEW Community Clinic CEO Kim Franzen said.

This pilot program just started. It will go to a few locations once a month, like Wellspring or the Micah Center.

NEW Community Clinic receives grant from the city of Green Bay as part of the Community Development Block Program, a federal program.
