Senator Tammy Baldwin talks with local Wisconsinites on Medicaid
U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin visited the Lake Superior Community Health Center in Superior Thursday. As part of her “Hands Off Medicaid Tour,” she spoke with local Wisconsinites to hear their stories and perspectives on the advancing plans to make cuts to Medicaid.
People who are directly impacted by Medicaid or those who are involved in programs with Medicaid all took turns sharing their stories and thoughts: Parents of adult children with disabilities, seniors who are taking care of their parents as they struggle with dementia and Alzheimer’s, individuals who rely on Medicaid for their healthcare and their ability to stay healthy.
