Why Work at a Community Health Center

Community Health Centers are mission-driven, community-oriented, and patient-centered organizations filled with people with a passion for making a difference.

Community Health Centers have medical, dental, and behavioral health services often all under one roof. They maximize this service integration by practicing team-based care to provide the care that patients need most. Community Health Centers are values-driven organizations that focus on helping individuals and communities achieve their highest health potential.

What Makes Community Health Centers Unique?

Mission-minded

Community Health Center staff are passionate and mission-driven individuals that provide quality care to under-resourced populations. Beyond clinical care, Community Health Centers also support services and programs that reduce or eliminate barriers to care. Examples include but are not limited to: offering sliding scale fees, legal services, community resource navigation, and transportation.

Community-Oriented

Community Health Centers are patient-centered and tailor services according to the needs of the communities they serve. Not only do Community Health Centers empower patients to make informed choices about their health and lifestyle, each Community Health Center is required to have a 51% patient-majority Board of Directors.
