The Wisconsin Collaboration on Immigrants and Public Benefits is hosting a webinar on Public Charge. The Collaboration has created a webinar to help understand the changes to Public Charge. The webinar will take place Thursday September 19th from 1:00pm - 2:30pm.

This webinar will look at how using public benefits, such as Medicaid, may impact Wisconsin residents who are immigrants. We will also offer resources to help enrollment assisters better inform immigrant consumers who may be afraid to sign up for Marketplace or Medicaid coverage.

Specifically, this session will discuss:

· Public Charge and who it impacts

· Policies that affect immigrants who use public benefits

· A screening tool to help you know when to refer clients to a lawyer

· A list of organizations in Wisconsin that offer free or low cost legal help specific to immigration and public benefits
