Matrix Model Key Supervisors Training Overview:

Agencies who receive Matrix Model core training may identify a "Key Supervisor" who assumes responsibility for assisting the program in getting the Model in place, maintaining trained staff and assuring fidelity. The Key Supervisors are the change agents at their respective facilities. Key Supervisors are trained to supervise clinicians in the Matrix Model of treatment, to work with administrators to adapt the Model to their settings, and to administer the fidelity instruments.

Course Goal: To develop the skills to train, supervise and implement the evidence based treatment model utilizing clinical and structural fidelity instruments in order to replicate positive clinical outcomes while being the change agent for the organization.

Training Objectives:

  • To learn how to use the Matrix fidelity instruments and their applications within a treatment setting
  • To learn how to monitor and supervise front line staff in their adherence to fidelity when delivering the Matrix Model.
  • To understand the nature of motivational interviewing in accordance with the Matrix Model and to help clinical staff with the philosophical style and engagement.
  • To increase knowledge of application of the Matrix Model by observing videos using worksheets and participating in experiential exercise
  • To learn how to supervise implementation of Structural and Minute by Minute components of the Matrix Model

Audience: Key Supervisors serve as clinical leaders and experts in the Matrix Model at your organization. Key Supervisors are likely to be clinical leaders at your Health Center who will oversee the implementation of the Matrix Model. The Matrix Model Core Training is a prerequisite course to the Key Supervisors Training
