WPHCA received the highest number of Performance Excellence Award nominations EVER in 2024 with a total of 11 nominations. Nominees represented 8 Health Centers and 5 first-ever Community Health Center nominations. We will be counting down each week until the big reveal! Muslim Community & Health Center, Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center, Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers, and Progressive Community Health Centers’ Diabetes Prevention programs were highlighted by Milwaukee NNS. Milwaukee County has the highest rates of diabetes in the state at 9.7%, compared to the state average of 7.8%, according to Health Compass Milwaukee.
