Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association is a private, non-profit member organization comprised of a state-wide network of Community and Migrant Health Centers, Health Care for the Homeless programs and other organizations that share in the Association’s mission to support the efforts of Wisconsin’s Community Health Centers to fulfill their mission of providing access to comprehensive, community oriented primary health care services to people who are left out of the health care system because of geographic, financial, language or cultural barriers.
With three types of membership, the Association provides training and direct support, advocacy and policy development, communications and grant writing, and other services such as recruitment, emergency preparedness, and representation in state and national health care coalitions, all in support of the work of Community Health Centers.
Founded in 1982, the Association continues to make an impact through the efforts of thousands of advocates, health care providers, and Health Center leaders, staff and volunteers to assure that, together, we meet the goal of access for all to comprehensive, primary health care.
