Running Exercises at your Health Center

CMS Emergency Preparedness final rule (CMS Rule) introduced new requirements for health centers when it comes to being prepared to emergencies and disasters. This new rule is far-fetching and requires providers to create and maintain robust training and testing programs that include emergency preparedness exercises.

This workshop will cover:

  • CMS requirements for Training & Testing;
  • Concepts of effective exercise design;
  • Exercise documentation;
  • Exercise evaluation; and
  • Tabletop exercise demo.

Participants can expect to leave this training with practical knowledge of exercise design process, as well as tools and templates to make a task of running exercises easier.

Cancellation Policy:
Registered participants may substitute another participant at no charge up to the day of the conference. Please inform WPHCA staff (lhess@wphca.org) of the substitution as soon as possible to coordinate meals and participant materials. Participants may cancel at no charge up to 7 days before the event begins. No refunds are available for cancellations 6 days or fewer before the event begins.
