Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association
Advancing Health Care Access For All

Emergency Management Program

After the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and Hurricane Katrina in August, 2005, federal, state, and local officials have placed increased emphasis on emergency preparedness across all sectors of society. Health care facilities continue to play a significant role in emergencies, whether the emergencies are tornadoes, accidents, snow storms, power outages, floods, or infectious diseases.

The Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association provides technical assistance to Health Centers in Wisconsin to help ensure that they have emergency plans, business continuity plans, and necessary communications and personal protective equipment. In addition, the Association seeks to ensure that Health Centers' plans are integrated into local, regional, and state plans.

Emergency Management PIN Updates

November 20 PIN Review WebEx session and instructions for using the WebEx Player. You can access the recording of this session one of two ways:

Download a file containing the recording onto your computer.  To do this, click this link:  https://nachc.webex.com/nachc/ldr.php?AT=dw&SP=TC&rID=19169707&act=pf&rKey=2F425028F953B5FC   WebEx will attempt to download the file automatically (you may need to click on a message giving it permission to begin the download).  A prompt will pop up – save the file to your computer.  After this has been downloaded, you will need to also download WebEx Player and there is a link to do this from the same page.  Click on the link to download the ARF player.  Once downloaded, you will then need to install it – just click on the player and follow the prompts.  After the player is installed, click on the recording file that you downloaded first and it should start.

OR

Copy and paste this link into your internet browser:  https://nachc.webex.com/nachc/lsr.php?AT=pb&SP=TC&rID=19169707&act=pb&rKey=82510EEBEE1F0F77   (I found that it would not work by clicking on it from an email but was fine after I pasted it into my internet browser).  You will also need to install a player to listen to it using this method – just follow the prompts to do this and then the recording will automatically begin.
