The clinic is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) situated in the Nicolet-Chequamegon National Forest in northern Oconto County. Services provided include medical, dental and behavioral health primary and preventative care to a diverse, rural population within a five-county service area.

The Executive Director will work with an established and successful team of healthcare providers including three full time nurse practitioners and one part-time women’s health nurse practitioner in the medical clinic; two full time dentists and four part-time dentists in the dental clinic; and one full time behavioral health counselor. The facility recently underwent an expansion with state-of-the-art equipment to meet the growing health care needs of the community. Lakewood has developed in a hub of healthcare for the area. In addition to the clinic, there is one chiropractor’s office, a physical rehab facility, a home healthcare agency, a pharmacy, and volunteer fire and EMT services.

The Executive Director is responsible for planning, championing our mission with our staff and community, building relationships and working with community partners to expand health care services to those in need within our service area is a key role of this position. This individual also will foster strong relationships at the state and national levels.
